Nature Recovery

Nature recovery is becoming an increasingly important area of work for all National Landscapes.

The country’s AONBs signed up to the Colchester Declaration in 2019 to demonstrate our readiness to act to reverse wildlife decline and habitat reduction as part of a wider strategy to tackle climate change.

Part of this commitment included an ambition to create Nature Recovery Plans for every AONB, detailing how National Landscapes can contribute to halting biodiversity loss and support more and better places for nature to thrive.
